Meet Clive Rogers – Bringing Decades of Expertise to Liability Underwriting

When you speak to Clive Rogers, one of the first things you notice is how relaxed and upbeat he is about his new role. “The first couple of weeks have been really good fun,” he says with a smile. “It’s such a different atmosphere compared to my last job, much more focused on how people fit and work together. It feels like a really caring culture, which is great.”

So far, Clive’s time has been filled with virtual introductions and plenty of meetings. “I’ve not had the chance to dive into projects just yet,” he admits, “but I’ve enjoyed meeting people and getting a feel for the business.”

Clive brings with him an incredible 37 years of experience in liability underwriting. His career began in Reading before moving into the London market, and for the past 11 years, he’s specialised in construction liability, an area Covéa doesn’t currently focus on, but one that has given him a wealth of transferable skills and insights.

So, what drew him to Covéa? “It sounded like an exciting opportunity to try something new. I already knew a few people here, and the more I learned about the company, the more it felt like the right move.”

Clive is keen to bring his broad knowledge and fresh perspective to the team. “I’ve spent years working on big projects in the London market, so I hope that experience adds something different here,” he says. Looking ahead, he’s excited about developing his liability skills even further and getting involved in meaningful projects.
