What attracted you to Covéa?

I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with some of my colleagues previously (Sean Field, Leighton Brown, Tracey Vivian and Louis Parkes) and this went a long way towards showing that Covéa is a great place to be and employs fantastic people.

What stood out to you during the hiring process?

Such great first impressions! From the outset, Covéa created an impressive initial reaction – from a technical interview with Sean and Simon Measures to having an amazing team leader in Spencer Flood who has been so helpful and supportive throughout the hiring and onboarding process. Everyone has been fantastic.

How have your first few weeks been?

Eventful! My first week included Philippe Domart visiting the Bristol office, and I also got to meet many of the senior leadership team and lots of our broking partners as I attended the Bristol Broker Roadshow that same week.

What’s been better than you expected?

It’s not often that you get to meet the CEO and so many members of the senior leadership team so early into a new job. Whereas this could have been a daunting or intimidating experience, it was quite the opposite; they were all very approachable, down to earth and genuinely nice people - it was a fantastic opportunity to spend some time with them so soon after joining.

What’s helped you settle in most?

The people! I’ve been very lucky to join such a great team in Bristol and working closely alongside our colleagues in Chelmsford. Everyone that I’ve met has been so welcoming and helpful - particular thanks to mentors Adrian, Spencer and Tracey, thank you all!

What are you most looking forward to next?

Getting to deal with our broking partners again, continuing to settle in and looking forward to a long, successful career with Covéa!

Outside of work I'm looking forward to more glorious Summer weather which will be a huge bonus to share with family and friends (as long as we don’t stray too far from air con or decent fans, if the record-breaking heatwaves return)!
